GUADALUPE CO., TX – One person died earlier this month in an accident involving a semi carrying ice cream in southwest Guadalupe County.
According to MYSA, the crash occurred shortly before 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 15th, near the intersection of FM 467 and Sweet Home Road. This is east of New Berlin and southwest of Seguin.
Photos taken at the scene indicate that a Blue Bell Ice Cream Truck struck the guardrail of FM 467 and overturned.
The cause of the wreck remains unclear. Police have not referenced any other vehicles in connection to the collision.
Authorities reported one fatality as a result of the wreck. They’ve not yet released the name of the victim.
Officials closed FM 467 near Sweet Home for several hours while emergency teams gathered evidence and worked to clear the scene.
A full investigation is underway.
