AUSTIN, TX – Medics transported one patient to the hospital via air ambulance after a major accident on a highway in southeast Austin on Saturday night.
According to ATCEMS, the incident happened at 10:26 p.m. on South US-183 at Annalise Drive, which is just east of McKinney Falls State Park.
The cause of the crash is still unclear, but police say that at least one person became pinned in and required extrication. That patient went to St. David’s South Austin Medical Center on a trauma alert.
One other patient declined transport to the hospital.
