AUSTIN, TX – Police and emergency crews responded to a crash involving 18 vehicles in Austin on Sunday morning, reports KXAN.
The accident occurred in the 4500 block of Interstate 35 northbound at about 3 a.m. Four cars were involved in the initial collision on the highway’s upper deck, with another 14 vehicles impacted by debris from the crash.
According to Austin-Travis County, one person sustained injuries that were not considered life-threatening, and was taken to an area hospital. A total of 32 people were involved in the incident.
I-35 was shut down while the debris and wreckage was being removed from the roadway.
