AUSTIN, TX – One person died, and another went to the hospital with critical injuries after two cars collided in northeast Austin on Sunday, reports Fox 7 Austin.
The incident happened just before 7:30 p.m. on the eastbound frontage road of East US-290, just east of Big Walnut Creek Preserve.
The cause of the crash is still unclear, but emergency response crews say that one of the vehicles overturned. More than one person was thrown from their vehicle in the accident.
One person died at the scene of the crash, and medics transported a second person to Dell Seton with life-threatening injuries.
