AUSTIN, TX – Six people went to the hospital last Thursday after two vehicles collided on a busy roadway in southeast Austin, reports KXAN.
Police say the incident occurred around 7:41 p.m. in the area of 5946 East Stassney Lane, which is just west of McKinney Falls State Park.
The force of the collision threw one person from their vehicle, and three other people became trapped in their vehicles. Austin-Travis County EMS worked to extricate the pinned individuals, who were taken to the hospital with critical injuries.
Medics transported three other people to St. David’s South Austin Medical Center. The extent of their injuries is unknown.
One other person declined transport for minor injuries.
A full investigation regarding the cause of the crash is underway.
