AUSTIN, TX – Austin Police are reporting a fatality linked to a two-vehicle collision in East Austin on Monday morning.

According to KVUE, the collision occurred early in the morning at the intersection of FM 969 and Decker Lane. This is just northwest of KIPP Austin Academy of Arts and Letters.

Police haven’t shared any details about the accident except to say that one person became trapped in their vehicle.

Medics transported one person to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Authorities declared the other person deceased at the scene. That person’s name has not yet been released to the public.

Drivers encountered delays while emergency crews attended to the victims and worked to clear the wreckage.
