AUSTIN, TX – A motor vehicle accident in east Austin early Saturday morning left two people dead, according to KXAN.
Austin Police said four people were riding in a vehicle that fell off a service bridge in the area of Interstate 35 and 51st Street. The vehicle ended up falling onto the road below.
Two of the occupants were pronounced dead at the scene. There was no word on the conditions of the other two people.
Police said the frontage road on I-35 was closed as of 6 a.m. while the scene was being cleared, and drivers were advised to avoid the area.
