TRAVIS COUNTY, TX – A collision between two vehicles on a state highway in Travis County Wednesday night left two people dead.

According to CBS Austin, the driver of a Ford F-150 pickup was going south on Toll Way 130 in the area of Elroy Road when the accident happened shortly before midnight. Investigators said the driver went onto the right shoulder of the roadway and slammed into a Ford E-350 van that was legally stopped there.

The impact sent both vehicles off the road, where they both went up in flames. The driver and a passenger in the Ford F-150 died at the scene. Their identities were not released.

The Texas Department of Public Safety responded to the accident scene.
