AUSTIN, TX – Two people were hospitalized Tuesday evening following a multi-vehicle crash along the interstate in north Austin, reports KXAN.

The accident happened shortly before 6 p.m. near I-35 and Tech Ridge Boulevard. This is just east of Walnut Creek Metropolitan Park.

Police haven’t specified the number of vehicles involved or the cause of the collision. They say that an 18-wheeler was involved and that one person required extrication after becoming pinned in their vehicle.

Medics transported two people total to Dell Seton Medical Center with non-critical injuries.

Five people were evaluated and treated at the scene of the wreck.

A full investigation is underway.
