AUSTIN, TX – Two people went to the hospital late Wednesday morning after a collision involving two vehicles along the highway in southwest Austin, reports ATCEMS.

The incident happened at 11:24 a.m. in the area of 13500 E US-290 eastbound, which is west of Oak Hill and near the intersection with Sawyer Ranch Road.

The cause of the crash is still unclear, but police say that one of the two vehicles overturned, and one of the occupants became pinned in the wreckage.
Medics worked to extricate one person. They then transported two adults on trauma alert to Dell Seton Medical Center.
A full investigation is underway.
