AUSTIN, TX – Two people went to the hospital with serious injuries late Monday night after a South Austin collision with entrapment, reports ATCEMS.

The incident happened around 10:56 p.m. at the intersection of South Congress Avenue and Lightsey Road, which is just southwest of St. Edward’s University.
It’s unclear how the crash happened, but police say that rescue crews had to extricate one of the patients from their vehicle.
Medics transported both patients on trauma alerts to St. David’s South Austin Medical Center.
A full investigation is underway.
