TAYLOR, TX – A 38-year-old man and 39-year-old woman died Monday evening in a two-vehicle crash involving an alleged intoxicated driver in Taylor, reports KXAN.
Police say the incident happened around 6:16 p.m. at the intersection of FM 973 and Carlos G. Parker Boulevard, which is just northeast of Taylor High School.
The investigation so far suggests that a pickup truck driver neglected to stop for a stop sign at the intersection and crashed into the victims’ car. Christopher Ali Yassef and Leonora Naomi Soriano died at the scene of the accident.
Police arrested the driver of the pickup truck, identified as 40-year-old John Crayton Jr., on charges of second-degree felony intoxication manslaughter.
