AUSTIN, TX — Two people died early Thursday morning after a single-car crash that left another injured in the Triangle State area of north-central Austin, according to KXAN.
The accident occurred at the intersection of West 41st Street and Medical Parkway at around 1:30 a.m.
Medics, fire crews, and police responded to the scene where a vehicle appeared to have crashed against a building. Authorities discovered two occupants were ejected from the vehicle.
Austin-Travis County EMS confirmed two people died at the scene. A third person was transported to a nearby hospital with possibly serious injuries.
The identities of those involved are unclear at this time.
Austin Fire crews worked to repair a brief gas leak caused by the accident.
