AUSTIN, TX – Two men died Sunday morning in a two-vehicle accident along the freeway in north Austin, reports CBS Austin.
The collision happened at 5:39 a.m. near The Domain shopping center in the 12000 block of North Mopac Expressway southbound. This is just south of the Duval Road intersection.
Police are still investigating the cause of the accident, which they say involved an SUV and a pickup truck.
Both drivers died at the scene from injuries sustained in the collision.
Authorities identified one of the victims as 43-year-old Nickolaus Lauderdale. They’ve not yet disclosed the identity of the other victim.
