LEANDER, TX – A 49-year-old man and a 47-year-old woman died last Friday when a vehicle struck their motorcycle at a busy intersection in Leander, reports CBS Austin.
Police say the incident happened around 7:30 p.m. at the intersection of 183A frontage road and RM 2243, which is just south of Hero Way.
The investigation indicates that a 2021 Nissan Rouge rear-ended a 2012 Harley Davidson motorcycle at a red light.
Both the driver and the passenger on the motorcycle died at the scene of the crash. Authorities identified them as Jeremy Moore and Angela Barry of Cedar Park.
Police have since arrested the driver of the Nissan, identified as 25-year-old Cody Landrum, on two counts of intoxication manslaughter.
