TRAVIS COUNTY, TX — Two people were hurt, one critically, Friday morning due to a fiery head-on collision in west Austin, according to Austin-Travis County EMS (ATCEMS).
The accident was reported at 6502-6513 Thomas Springs Road, near Blue Hill Drive, in the Blue Hills Estates area. ATCEMS personnel responded to the scene some time before 9:06 a.m.
Officials have not released a sequence of events leading up to the crash, but one of the involved vehicles caught fire as a result.
First responders had two adult patients transported to St. David’s South. One patient was described as having critical and life-threatening injuries, and the other suffered injuries deemed non-life-threatening.
