TAYLOR, TX – One person died, and two others sustained serious injuries when two pick-up trucks collided Saturday night in Taylor, reports KXAN.
The incident happened around 11 p.m. in the area of 4300 North Main Street, which is just east of Taylor Regional Park & Sports Complex.
The investigation indicates that a southbound 2016 Chevy pickup truck veered into the northbound lane of traffic and crashed head-on into a 2003 GMC Yukon.
Authorities pronounced the driver of the Chevy deceased at the scene of the wreck.
Medics transported two people from the GMC to the hospital with serious injuries.
Police say they found open containers of alcohol in both vehicles. A full investigation is underway.
