AUSTIN, TX – A major collision involving two vehicles killed one person Monday afternoon along a highway just south of Austin.
According to KXAN, the incident occurred just before 1:30 p.m. on the southbound service road of TX-130 near Maha Loop Road. This is just north of Mustang Ridge and east of Creedmoor.
Police have shared very few details about the accident so far. They say one person died at the scene after attempts at resuscitation failed. Authorities have not yet released the victim’s identity.
Two others involved in the accident declined transport to the hospital.
Officials encouraged motorists to expect delays along TX-130 in the area of the crash.
