AUSTIN, TX – A collision involving two vehicles killed one person and injured three others Thursday morning in southeast Austin.
According to Fox 7 Austin, the incident happened at 6:58 a.m. on US-183 at East William Cannon Drive near Colton. This is south of Pilot Knob and southwest of Austin Bergstrom International Airport.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation. Police say that of the three survivors, two required extended extrication measures to free them from the wreckage. One of those two patients was airlifted to the hospital, and the other went by ambulance.
A third patient was hospitalized with serious injuries.
Authorities have not yet released the identity of the victim in the crash.
A full investigation is underway.
