AUSTIN, TX – Five people went to the hospital Thursday following a rush hour crash along a busy roadway in southeast Austin, reports ATCEMS.

The incident happened at 5:12 p.m. in the area of 9005 Burleson Road, which is just south of Austin Bergstrom International Airport.
Authorities say the crash involved two-vehicles and a total of seven people. It’s not yet clear what caused the accident.
Medics transported two adults and two teenagers to area hospitals with non-critical injuries. A child went to the hospital as a trauma alert. Two additional adults did not require hospitalization.
Drivers likely experienced delays along Burleson Road in the area of the accident while crews worked to clear the scene.
