LEANDER, TX – Three people went to the hospital Wednesday night after a major crash along a busy Leander roadway, reports ATCEMS.

The incident happened around 7:33 p.m. on FM 1431 near Angel Side Drive, which is on the southwest side of the city towards Jonestown.
It’s not yet clear what caused the crash, but police say that two vehicles were involved and that at least one person became pinned in their vehicle and required extrication.
Medics transported three people to area hospitals on trauma alerts. Two of the patients sustained potentially life-threatening injuries.
Officials asked drivers to avoid this area of FM 1431 while emergency teams attended to the victims and crews worked to clear the wreckage.
A full investigation is underway.
