AUSTIN, TX – Emergency teams responded to a fatal two-vehicle crash early Thursday along the highway in North Austin, reports KVUE.

The incident occurred just prior to 2 a.m. on the northbound side of US-183 just past Duval Road and east of Jollyville Road.

Police haven’t yet disclosed what caused the two vehicles to collide, but they say one person became entrapped in their car and required extrication.

The accident killed one person at the scene, and two others required hospitalization for serious injuries.
