AUSTIN, TX – Two people went to the hospital late Tuesday morning after their vehicles collided along a busy roadway in northwest Austin, reports KXAN.

The incident happened just after 11:15 a.m. in the area of 13047 Pond Springs Road, which is just east of US-183 and north of Hunters Chase Drive.

Police have not yet disclosed how the accident occurred. They say that crews worked to extricate one person who had become pinned in their vehicle.

Medics transported two adult patients to St. David’s Hospital in Round Rock with serious injuries.

A full investigation is underway.
