AUSTIN, TX – One person sustained serious injuries Sunday morning when two cars collided on the interstate in downtown Austin, reports DFW Scanner.

The incident happened around 4:37 a.m. at 1200 North Interstate 35, which is just north of East 12th Street and east of Waterloo Park.
The cause of the accident is still unclear. Police say that one person became pinned in their vehicle and required extrication. Medics transported that patient to Dell-Seton Medical Center with serious injuries.
