AUSTIN, TX – Police are investigating a single-vehicle accident that killed three people in southeast Austin on Sunday, reports Fox 7 Austin.
The incident happened around 2:46 a.m. on the southbound side of TX-130 at Tesla Road, which is just northeast of Austin-Bergstrom International Airport.
It’s not yet clear what caused the crash, but authorities say a vehicle overturned and pinned three people.
Authorities declared two of the occupants deceased around 3 a.m., and the third died just half an hour later. The victims’ identities have not yet been disclosed.
Officials encouraged drivers to avoid this area of TX-130 while crews gathered evidence and worked to clear the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
