AUSTIN, TX – A car accident in southeast Austin early Sunday morning left three men dead, CBS Austin reports.
According to police, two vehicles were headed west on the 4700 block of East Ben White Boulevard when they collided at about 3 a.m.
One of the vehicles went off an overpass, plunged more than 20 feet onto the frontage road below and caught fire. Three men who been inside the vehicle were pronounced dead when Austin-Travis County EMS arrived at the scene. The occupants of the other vehicle sustained minor injuries.
Witnesses who spoke to police said that the vehicle that rolled off the overpass had been speeding prior to the collision.
