AUSTIN, TX – Two people sustained critical injuries Friday afternoon in a three-vehicle collision on Bee Cave Road, reports ATCEMS.

The incident happened just after 2 p.m. in the Rollingwood area, near the intersection of Bee Cave Road and Montebello Road.
Police say that five people were involved and that two of them required extrication after being pinned in their vehicle. Three people went to St. David’s South Austin Medical Center, two of them as trauma alerts.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
Officials encouraged drivers to avoid the area while crews worked to clear the scene.
