AUSTIN, TX – Three adults and three children went to the hospital Tuesday evening following a multi-vehicle crash in South Austin, reports ATCEMS.

The incident happened at 6:02 p.m. on the westbound side of East Ben While near South Lamar Boulevard. This on the north side of the Westgate area.
It’s not yet clear how the crash happened, but police say that three vehicles were involved carrying a total of eight occupants.
Five ambulances responded to the scene, and medics transported two adults as trauma alerts to St. David’s South Austin Medical Center. Another adult went to St. David’s with non-critical injuries. All three children went to St. David’s as trauma alerts.
Drivers likely encountered delays Tuesday evening along the westbound side of Ben White while crews rescued the victims and worked to clear the wreckage.
The investigation is ongoing.
