KYLE, TX – Kyle Police are investigating a three-vehicle crash that killed one person and injured another on Thursday, reports CBS Austin.
The incident occurred at 4:36 p.m. on the southbound side of I-35, just south of Windy Hill Road. This is on the north side of the city, not far from Buda.
Police say the accident involved a gray GMC Yukon, a black Nissan passenger car, and a white Toyota pickup truck.
The preliminary investigation indicates that the Yukon rear-ended the Nissan, at which point both vehicles struck the pickup truck.
The driver of the Nissan died after transport to a local hospital. Authorities identified him as 52-year-old Timothy Wray.
Medics transported the driver of the Yukon to the hospital with unspecified injuries.
