TRAVIS CO., TX – One adult died, and another person went to the hospital with serious injuries after a multi-vehicle collision near Bee Cave, reports KXAN.
Austin-Travis County EMS reported that the crash happened around 3:31 p.m. on the westbound side of State Highway 71 near the intersection with Pedernales Summit Parkway.
Officials have not yet explained how the accident happened but say that three cars were involved in a head-on crash involving a rollover and entrapment.
One person died at the scene.
Medics transported a second adult to St. David’s South Austin Medical Center on a trauma alert.
A third person declined medical treatment at the scene.
A full investigation is underway.
