The incident happened around 5:39 a.m. on FM 973 near Shadowglen Trace, which is in the Shadowglen neighborhood.
The cause of the crash is unknown. Police say that four vehicles were involved and that two people became entrapped at the scene.
One person went to the hospital via air ambulance with life-threatening injuries. Medics transported a second patient via ground ambulance with potentially serious injuries.
Drivers likely experienced delays in the area of the accident while crews attended to the victims and worked to clear the scene.
