AUSTIN, TX – Five people sustained injuries Saturday night in a multi-vehicle crash near the airport in southeast Austin, reports KVUE.
The accident happened around 9 p.m. on Burleson Road near the South Terminal of Austin-Bergstrom International Airport. This is near Richard Moya Park and the intersection with TX-130.
Police haven’t yet identified the cause of the collision, which they say involved four vehicles total.
Medics transported three adults and one child to area hospitals with serious injuries.
Another adult went to the hospital with non-critical injuries.
Two adults were evaluated at the scene of the crash and did not require hospitalization.
Motorists likely encountered lengthy delays along Burleson Road Saturday night while emergency teams helped the victims and worked to clear the scene.
A full investigation is underway.
