AUSTIN, TX – Four people, including two small children, were severely injured following a crash southeast of Austin Saturday night.
According to KXAN, the crash occurred within the intersection of South U.S. 183 and FM 973 Road shortly before 9:00 p.m.

Initial reports were that two children were ejected from the vehicle and at least one adult was trapped inside of the vehicle. Photos tweeted by the Austin-Travis County Emergency Medical Services showed at least two vehicles were involved.
All four victims were transported to local hospitals to be treated for serious, potentially life-threatening injuries as a result of the crash.
Details on what may have caused the collision are still under investigation as of Monday afternoon.
