AUSTIN, TX – Five people, including two children, were sent to the hospital following a major crash involving three vehicles in the Joliet area on Thursday morning.

According to KXAN, the crash was reported shortly after 7 a.m. along US-183 near Catfish Lane.

One teenager was flown to Dell Seton Medical Center with serious, potentially-life-threatening injuries. Two adults were transported to St. David’s South Austin Medical Center with serious injuries.

Two young children were sent to Dell Children’s Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The events leading up to the crash are unclear at this time.
