AUSTIN, TX – One person went to the hospital Friday afternoon after a multi-vehicle crash involving a private bus in South Austin.
According to KVUE, the incident happened around 1 p.m. on the northbound side of I-35 near East Slaughter Lane, which is just east of Southpark Meadows.
It’s not yet clear what caused the accident, but police say it involved a private passenger bus carrying 30 people and five other vehicles.
Only one injury has been reported so far, and medics say it’s not critical.
Officials closed the northbound lanes of the interstate in the area of the crash while police collected evidence and crews worked to clear the scene.
A full investigation is underway.
