AUSTIN, TX – Austin Fire Department units responded to a crash yesterday night which they believe was the result of icy bridge conditions on US 290, KVUE reports.

Emergency responders were called to a bridge in the highway’s 5200 block in Oak Hill at about 7:15 p.m. yesterday.
Little else is known about the crash at this time, including whether anyone was injured. We will provide additional updates if possible.
Central Texas has been hit hard in recent days by freezing rain, sleet, and snow. A Winter Weather Advisory may have still been in effect in the area at the time of the crash.
