AUSTIN, TX – Police have identified the man they say died four days after he was struck by a vehicle in northeast Austin.
According to Fox 7 Austin, 39-year-old Jesse Duer was transported to a local hospital just after 7 a.m. on Thursday, February 1, after a pickup truck struck him.
The accident happened in near 700 West Howard Lane, which is just east of I-35 and near the intersection with McCallen Pass.
Authorities say that Duer died at the hospital on Monday, February 5th, from injuries sustained in the accident.
APD says the driver of the pickup truck was not intoxicated at the time of the accident. It’s unclear if they will face charges related to the crash.
A full investigation is underway.
