AUSTIN, TX – Crews reported to the scene of a multi-vehicle collision Tuesday morning along the interstate in South Austin.

According to CBS Austin, the incident happened just after 6 a.m. on the northbound side of I-35 near Stassney Lane, which is near the Regal Metropolitan and BMW of South Austin.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation. Police say that four vehicles were involved and that the wreck blocked the left lane of I-35 northbound.

Officials warned motorists of possible delays along the interstate in the area of the crash and encouraged them to explore alternate routes during rush hour.

The investigation is ongoing.
