BASTROP COUNTY, TX – A fatal crash was reported on a rural highway just southeast of Austin Thursday night.

According to KXAN, the crash happened around 10:30 p.m. on FM 812 and Creekwood Trail.

The number of fatalities in the crash was not given. It’s not yet clear what caused the crash but the FM 812 roadway is infamous as the fifth deadliest road in the TxDOT Austin District.

An investigation is underway by the Department of Public Safety.
