AUSTIN, TX — A driver crashed an Austin Independent School District bus Tuesday morning while trying to avoid hitting another vehicle in southwest Austin, according to KXAN.
The accident occurred on Farm to Market Road 1826 at Lewis Mountain Road near the city’s Lewis Mountain Ranch neighborhood.
According to Austin Independent School District, Bus 0907 veered off the roadway to avoid an oncoming vehicle. It was not clear whether the bus made contact with the other vehicle or another object off the road.
Authorities confirmed no students were on board at the time of the accident.
No further updates have been shared regarding the condition of the driver.
