AUSTIN, TX – Police say they have identified the motorcyclist who was killed in a crash in Austin last week.
In a news release, the Austin Police Department said the victim was 24-year-old Joseph Harrell Hayman. According to investigators, Hayman was riding a Honda CB500 motorcycle in the 6000 block of N. IH-35 SB near U.S. Highway 290 on Thursday when he collided with a Hino box truck and sustained fatal injuries.
The driver of the truck stayed at the scene, police said, and no charges are expected in the case.

The incident was Austin’s 31st fatal traffic crash so far this year, resulting in 33 fatalities.
