AUSTIN, TX – Authorities have identified the driver who crashed a sedan through the ER entrance at a north Austin hospital on Tuesday.
Police say that 57-year-old Michelle Holloway accidentally crashed into the emergency room at St. David’s North Austin Medical Center around 5:38 p.m.
Medical teams at the hospital performed CPR on Holloway, but she died at the hospital.
The investigation thus far indicates that Holloway did not intentionally hit the building, nor was she suffering from a medical episode at the time of the crash. The cause of the incident remains under investigation.
Officials reported multiple non-critical injuries in connection to the crash, while one adult and one child sustained critical injuries. Medics transported the adult to Round Rock Medical Center. The child is receiving care at Dell Children’s Hospital.
