AUSTIN, TX – A fatality has been reported in connection to a pedestrian accident in north Austin on Friday morning, reports KVUE.
The accident occurred shortly after 6:30 a.m. on the southbound side of Research Boulevard between TX-360 and Mopac Expressway. This is in the Arboretum area.
Police haven’t yet specified if the pedestrian was attempting to cross Research Boulevard when the crash happened or if they may have been walking along the shoulder.
Authorities will notify next of kin before releasing the name of the deceased.
Officials closed the southbound side of Research Boulevard while emergency teams worked at the scene.
