AUSTIN, TX – An adult pedestrian died Saturday night after a vehicle struck them on a busy roadway in north-central Austin, reports KXAN.

Police say the incident happened just before 8 p.m. near the intersection of North Lamar Boulevard and Beaver Street, which is between I-35 and US-183.

The pedestrian died at the scene when medics were unable to revive them via CPR.

It is unclear at this time if the driver of the vehicle sustained injuries.

A full investigation of the incident is underway.
