AUSTIN, TX – A car struck and killed a male pedestrian on the interstate in north Austin on Thursday night, reports KXAN.

Police say the incident happened around 11:30 p.m. on the northbound side of I-35 near Parmer Lane, which is just northeast of Walnut Creek Metropolitan Park.

It’s still unclear how the accident occurred, but authorities say the pedestrian died at the scene and that the driver of the vehicle remained on site to speak with authorities.
