TRAVIS COUNTY, TX — A body was recovered Monday where a man went missing Sunday afternoon in an incident that killed one other person and injured another on Lake Travis in Austin, according to CBS Austin.
Austin-Travis EMS responded to the event Sunday in the Hudson Bend area of Lake Travis at around 3:00 p.m.
Crews administered life-saving measures, but one swimmer died at the scene.
Lake Travis Fire and Rescue, along with crews from STAR Flight joined efforts in a search for a swimmer reported missing.
A third swimmer likely to have been involved in the incident suffered injuries considered non-life-threatening, but turned down treatment.
No other information has been reported at this time confirming the death of the missing swimmer, or the circumstances behind the incident.
