AUSTIN, TX – Two adults and one child went to the hospital Sunday after a vehicle struck them and three others near the airport, reports CBS Austin.
The incident occurred around 8:50 p.m. on the northbound side of Bastrop Highway near the split with US-183. This is just north of Austin-Bergstrom International Airport in southeast Austin.
Police haven’t yet shared any details about the vehicle involved in the accident, nor have they indicated if the driver stopped to render aid and answer questions.
Medics transported one child to Dell Children’s Hospital on a trauma alert. An adult also went to Dell Children’s with non-critical injuries, and a second adult was taken to St. David’s South Austin Medical Center with minor injuries.
Emergency teams attended to three other pedestrians at the scene of the accident. They did not require hospitalization for their injuries.
