AUSTIN, TX – One adult died Wednesday night when a vehicle struck them along the interstate in east-central Austin, reports KXAN. 

The incident happened around 7:20 p.m. on the northbound side of I-35 between East 51st Street and Reinli Street, which is just northwest of the Mueller development and Dell Children’s Medical Center.

Austin-Travis County EMS declared the pedestrian dead at the scene of the crash.

It is unclear at this time if the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene.

A full investigation is underway.
