SAN MARCOS, TX – An 11-year-old child died last Friday after a car struck her in the parking lot of a middle school in San Marcos, reports KVUE.

The incident happened around 8:30 a.m. in the parking lot of Goodnight Middle School, which is located at 1301 Texas Highway 123.

Police say the collision happened in the drop-off lane, though they have not yet disclosed the cause of the accident.

Authorities pronounced the student deceased at the scene of the crash.

So far, no charges have been announced against the driver of the vehicle.
