AUSTIN, TX – One person died early Saturday morning after a vehicle struck them along the interstate in North Austin, reports KVUE.

The incident happened around 12:30 a.m. in the vicinity of I-35 and East Rundberg Lane, which is just northwest of Gus District Park.

Authorities have not yet released the name of the deceased, nor have they provided information about how the accident happened. Additionally, it’s unclear if the vehicle involved in the collision remained at the scene.

Police say that the pedestrian died at the scene.
